A Renaissance: A New Museum for Princeton and a Catalyst for Our Region 

Princeton University has undertaken one of the most ambitious re-imaginings in the world of a long-established arts institution. With a history dating to 1755, the Princeton University Art Museum is one of the nation’s oldest collecting institutions, and now launches a landmark new building (opening October 31st) that creates a new center for campus life, a vital new resource for the region, and a magnet for visitors from around the world. Museum Director James Steward will describe the process of making a bold new piece of architecture, rethinking what an “encyclopedic” museum can be, and activating the Museum in unprecedented ways.
